Certificates of title will be abolished in NSW on 11 October and all transactions with the NSW Land Registry Service will need to be conducted electronically. This has been accelerated during COVID lockdowns, with a shift away from paper dealings.
This change will involve not just lawyers but clients, for example as the process of preparing and registering a lease will change. Changes are faced for holders of unencumbered titles, with paper titles no longer holding value.
Join us for this member briefing to hear directly from the Registrar General Jeremy Cox and his team about what these changes mean for the property industry.
