For the first time, the 2022 Retirement Outlook will be held as a half day forum.  With many important issues for the Retirement Living sector to cover, we look forward to welcoming you on 24th February.

Session 3: Elder abuse keynote
The NSW Government has mandated that every retirement village must have an Elder Abuse Plan. This session will increase knowledge on what elder abuse is, the prevalence in communities, signs and resources available to assist.

Session 4: NSW Seniors Housing Guidelines 
In November 2021, the NSW government released new Seniors Housing Guidelines for planners, designers and council authorities to gain understanding of the seniors housing typology, and the opportunities for design excellence and inspiring architecture.  Government engaged Lara Calder to develop the Guidelines.

Session 5: Presentation of 2021 Retirement Census results
The PwC/Property Council Retirement Census is the biggest annual snapshot of the Australian retirement living industry. Join us as we review the 2021 Retirement Census results and what this means for NSW. There will opportunities for questions.

Session 7: Customer Experience Speaker
As NSW emerges from a long lock down period that has been very hard on residents and staff, there is an opportunity for village operators to explore re-engaging our customers and residents, and re-building relationships.  Damien Kernahan of Proto Partners specialises in Customer Experience Improvement and will provide insights into how to engage more effectively across multiple channels. His clients include the likes of Fox Sports, Hoyts, Alinta Energy, Gumtree, Sydney Metro, Virgin Mobile, Westpac. Optus, and Kayo etc.

Session 9: Minister Address
Newly appointed NSW Minister for Seniors and Multiculturalism, the Hon Mark Coure MP will address Retirement Outlook attendees virtually. Minister Coure has been the Member for Oatley since 2011. Before being the Member for Oatley, Mr Coure was a small business owner and served on Kogarah City Council for 8 years where he advocated strongly for improved local services and infrastructure and fought against the rising cost of living for seniors. Minister Coure’s agenda for the year ahead will be presented, highlighting some of the NSW Government’s priorities for the year ahead. 
Attendees of the Retirement Outlook who are hoping to gain some insights on the future direction of senior’s policy within New South Wales will have the rare opportunity to do so. 

This is an opportunity not to be missed ahead of next year’s 2023 state election!

The Property Council of Australia is a COVID safe organisation.  The safety of our guests, speakers and staff is our top priority
 
This event will be run in compliance with the NSW Government’s health orders.  These will impose density limits, require the wearing of masks other than when eating and drinking and will mean only fully vaccinated guests can attend. 

If the government requirements change in advance of the event, we will contact you and update you about your attendance.  If you are no longer able to attend because of vaccination or other requirements, please contact us before Thursday 10th February to discuss options.
 
If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions, you are entitled to a full refund of your ticket price as per the cancellation policy

 

Cancellation policy

FACE TO FACE EVENTS We will offer a FULL REFUND of your registration cost if the event you have registered for is cancelled because the government or territory extends or amends its existing COVID-19 restrictions. We will also offer a FULL REFUND of your ticket if you are unable to attend the event due to: changes in your organisation’s protocols regarding event attendance, or you present with flu like or COVID-19 symptoms pre event. COVID-19 related cancellations must be submitted in writing by the specific state organisation member representative. Cancellations will not be accepted less than five (5) business days prior to the event for any unrelated COVID-19 reasons. A replacement will be accepted at no additional cost. ONLINE EVENTS All cancellations must be requested in writing however no refunds will be given to cancellations made less than three (3) business days prior to the event due to platform capacities being confirmed. We are happy to accept a replacement at no additional cost.

Terms and conditions

Australia is currently in the midst of the world-wide COVID-19 crisis. We will refund your registration cost if the event you have registered for is cancelled because the government extends or amends its existing COVID-19 restrictions. Registrations are for individual delegates only and cannot be split or shared between multiple people. Payment is required prior to the event. The Property Council of Australia reserves the right to alter speaker/s or program of events or cancel the event in its entirety. The Property Council of Australia reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove from the premises any person who it considers (in their sole and absolute discretion) is causing annoyance. Your registration is accepted on the basis of these conditions. The collection of individual registration details is primarily so that we can register you and your colleagues for the event. The information will be stored in the Property Council’s database and may be used for future marketing of Property Council events and may also be provided to the event sponsors. If you do not wish your details to be made available to external parties, we ask that you notify us by a written request to the Property Council IT Manager. Property Council often undertakes or facilitates photography and/or video at our events and conferences. These images and footage may be used in future promotions that include but are not limited to website, direct mail, marketing collateral, email, sales documents and other uses by Property Council of Australia. Should a registered participant seek to be excluded from such future uses of images, you must register your request with a Property Council staff member on the day of the designated event. No further correspondence or permissions will alternatively be sought.
