Notes

Once renowned as a ‘steel city’, Newcastle is now a smart, liveable and sustainable city, with major urban transformation outcomes and innovative industries changing the face and function of the city.

The NSW Government is continuing to catalyse revitalisation, and its latest waterfront offering Honeysuckle HQ will transform the very foundation of Newcastle’s core business and lifestyle district in the heart of the emerging waterfront CBD.

Come along and hear Chief Executive of Placemaking NSW, Anita Mitchell, talk about the launch of Honeysuckle HQ, the final large scale urban transformation opportunity in the 52ha Honeysuckle Urban Renewal project.

Hear about how, as part of Placemaking NSW, the locally based Hunter and Central Coast Development Corporation is leading a Registration of Interest process that aims to set the scene for quality placemaking and design outcomes, while creating a magnetic mixed-use destination.
