Housing supply was already a
critical issue right across the state prior to COVID and the challenges it
brought. There is now an even greater urgency to ensure a future supply of
residential housing.
The Government’s Regional Housing
Taskforce was given the job to understand and dissect the barriers to planning
for and delivering housing in regional areas. How much of this did we already
know and were there surprises? What is going to be required from government and
industry to realise a solution to this longstanding issue?
Join us at our November lunch to hear from Regional Housing Taskforce Chair Garry Fielding on the taskforce’s findings and their recommendations to government.
Gyde Consulting Director Chris O’Dell will join Garry to talk about the Hunter’s unique opportunities when it comes to facing COVID and how we adjust. How do we make the most of those opportunities, and when we look at jobs, population and housing, is it a positive story for the Hunter?
Both Garry and Chris have extensive backgrounds in
planning with State and Local Government and are no strangers to regions such
as the Hunter. With impressive backgrounds we are excited to welcome both Garry
and Chris and invite you to register now to be part of the conversation and a
better housing future.
