Planning lays the foundation for success and growth across economies, so it’s crucial to get it right and to ensure a robust delivery plan supports it.

The Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) has had a major restructure, so what does this look like and what does it mean for the Hunter? DPE Group Deputy Secretary, Planning and Assessment, Marcus Ray will join us to share his insights and discuss the priorities going forward.

How does the Greater Cities Commission fit in to this structure and what would that look like in the Hunter? How does the model support delivery of success?

Environment Commissioner at the Greater Sydney Commission, Meg Mcdonald has over 30 years’ experience in the public and private sector in Australia and internationally and in business and as a senior diplomat. Meg will talk us through her experience with the Commission and how a similar model could deliver the goods for the Hunter.

Join us for our April Hunter lunch event to hear from Meg and Marcus and talk all things planning that are impacting the way we plan for and deliver growth across our region.
