WA Election Update

This week the property industry has been promised a seniors stamp duty concession but was also dealt a blow with the promise of a potential foreign investor tax. The Property Council has launched a campaign against the proposed foreign investor tax.

This week both leaders went head to head in a live televised debate. For the property industry, there wasn’t much to write home about except for the importance of infrastructure. The Property Council is calling on both major parties to recognise that we need both, and infrastructure plan and a funding mechanism through asset recycling including the sale of Western Power.

This week Property Council ramped up the #keepWAgrowing campaign to new heights off the back of big policy announcements from each side.

The Property Council released the following press statements:

Up next is the WA Election Debate Breakfast on March 3, where Planning Minister Donna Faragher and Shadow Planning Minister Rita Saffiotti will go head to head to debate their plan for Perth moderated by Peter Kennedy.
