Kate has completed a Bachelor of Property Economics at UTS Sydney with Distinction and First Class Honours. Her research has been published in the Commonwealth Journal of Local Governance titled ‘Rates Versus Developer Contributions as a Revenue Source for Local Government’ Issue 11, December 2012. Whilst studying at university Kate worked for Woollahra Municipal Council in the property sector gaining exposure to general Council governance. Simultaneously she worked at Ray White as a real estate agent where she assisted in the management of a large rent roll of mostly residential property which broadened her managerial experience. After university Kate worked at Independent Property Valuations as an Assistant Residential Valuer and later moved to Urbis where her valuation experience has expanded into the industrial and development markets. Kate is also studying a Diploma of Financial Planning and enjoys raising her two children aged 2 and 4 years with her husband.
