Julia Dickson is an Associate Director at Urbis. She is an experienced town planner and one of Urbis’s foremost experts in developing new communities. She joined Urbis as an assistant planner in 2006, and was promoted to Associate Director in 2016. Since joining Urbis as a planning assistant, she has grown her client base to include key players in the education and community development sectors. As a leader in new community development, Julia provides advice throughout the timeline of each project she manages – from preparing precinct structure plans to managing post-permit approval processes and building stakeholder support. During her time at Urbis, Julia has worked on a number of large, high-profile projects, across all of Melbourne’s growth corridors. In addition to the new community work, Julia gains approval for new and refurbished convenience restaurants, and has recently been involved in the State-wide roll-out of planning approval for digital signage.
